Rule 1 in “Roadhouse” Stacy McCain’s guide on “How to get a million hits on your blog in less than a year” is Shameless Blogwhoring, which he introduces thus:

I’m amazed that Instapundit, Michelle Malkin, Ace of Spades and the Hot Air crew haven’t declared a fatwa against me for the way I relentlessly fill their inboxes with blogwhoring e-mails like Arnold Horshack trying to get Mr. Kotter’s attention: “Ooh! Ooh! Ooh!”

So I gave it a try. I looked for blogs that had endorsed McCain’s Rule 5 (post pics of beautiful women),then emailed them to let them know I had posted my comments on a recently published list of  ”The 11 Hottest FOX News Reporters.”

And lo and behold, Ace linked me in his headlines. If you examine the below snapshot of my Sitemeter traffic graph for the month of April very closely, you can just barely discern a subtle traffic anomaly around the same time that Ace linked to me:

But it doesn’t look like I held onto too many of those readers, does it? So, looks like I’ll have to try it again, over and over.
