Scary thought: Roughly 8500 people out there are willing to spend money to be just like HuffPo.That number is the estimated sales figure for the paperback book put out by the HuffPo editors, The Huffington Post Complete Guide to Blogging, since it went on sale December 2. I’d like to think that a lot of them are buying it for the “blogging expertise” and are not politically sympatico with the HuffPosters, but I doubt it. I can’t imagine any conservative buying that book, no matter how badly he wanted some pointers. Then again, maybe the buyers still don’t understand blogging, haven’t read blogs, and aren’t aware of what’s written at HuffPo. I can hope. |
